Joining a Meeting in Microsoft Teams

Join a Meeting from Within Teams

Navigate to your calendar in teams.
Find the meeting that you are going to join and select join.
A separate window will open with options for the meeting.
First, make sure you are using computer audio by selecting the first option on the right side.
Next turn on your camera by selecting the camera button the left side of the screen.
The final set up step will be making sure your audio settings are correct, select the gear icon to the right of the camera button.
This will open a settings page on the righthand side of the windows.
1. Blue: Which speakers will be used.
2. Yellow: Which microphone will be used.
3. Red: Which camera will be used.
Finally select the join now button to join the call

In your email invite, select Click here to join the meeting.
If Teams is not installed on your device:
1. The first thing you will see will be this page open in browser
2. Select “Join on the web instead”.
3. You will get a popup on the next page asking if teams can use your microphone and camera, select allow.
4. This screen will appear next.
  1. Red: Select here to input your name, this will be your display name for the meeting
  2. Green: Select these buttons to enabled/disable your webcam or mic
  3. Yellow: Selecting this will bring up a devices tab. See step 7 for “Join a Meeting from Within Teams”.
  4. Blue: Select join now once all your settings are to your liking to join the meeting.
If Teams is installed on your device, it will open in Teams.
